Congrats Daniel!
The first winner of our scholarship to go on our Everest Base Camp Trek with an NGO project Daniel Martinez. Daniel is an emerging photographer based in NYC. His scholarship will cover his travel expenses as well as the trek. He will be mentored along the way by Camera Voyages founder William Vazquez. Our goal with the scholarship is to give a young aspiring photographer the opportunity to experience travel, and other cultures.
Paying it forward
We want to help the next generation of photographers gain insight into different cultures, photographic techniques, and personal growth. For our inaugural scholarship we have teamed up with NYC Salt an educational, and photographic mentoring organization based in NYC as recipient of the first Camera Voyages scholarship going towards a journey to Everest Base Camp in Nepal, spring of 2018. At the moment we are offering one scholarship, with plans to help more of the future humanitarians, explorers, and photographers get their start. Our scholarship fund goes toward taking talented young photographers who do not have the means to gain valuable international experience on our journeys. 5% of all paid journeys goes towards future scholarships. How can you help? by taking one of journeys or by sponsoring our next generation of explorer/photographers.

Giving Back
We take being a good global citizen seriously. In both our personal and professional lives. Everywhere we travel, we treat the people we meet with dignity and we encourage our guests to do the same. We do not condone the creation of exploitive photography or video on any of our experiences.
Besides the fundraisers we create for certain experiences, at least 5% of our yearly profits are donated to NGO's dedicated to making a beneficial difference in the world. In addition, many of our experiences have a volunteering component, where you can help create content for NGO's to use in their own fund raising efforts.
Current NGO's we are working with.
Kids of Kathmandu, an NGO based in NYC and Nepal. They support an orphanage as well as rebuild schools that were destroyed by the earthquake in 2015.
