The streets of Havana

Every city has its own character and rhythm. New York is not the same as Paris, Havana is different than Rome. An experienced photographer knows this and prepares accordingly for the journey ahead. It’s important to familiarize oneself with the history, traditions, art and culture of a place before setting foot in it for the first time. If a city is already alive inside our imagination, our anticipation rises with every day we count down towards departure. And when we finally do arrive there, our images are made richer by the ongoing dialogue between what we expected to find and what we discover with each passing day of our visit.

Photography is about immersion in new worlds.

And they await us.
